The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized a Workshop on India Australia & India UAE Free Trade Agreement, Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement with Australia (IndAus ECTA) & Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with UAE Overview, Benefits & Way Forward, on 27th May, 2022 in Phygital Mode in The Bengal Chamber premises. Online participants joined via Zoom.

Opening remarks was given by Mr. Timir Baran Chatterjee, Chairperson, Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Senior Partner & Mentor, TCN Global & Economic Advisory Services LLP.

Address on Foreign Trade Policy was deliberated by Mr. Timir Baran Chatterjee, Chairperson, Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Senior Partner & Mentor, TCN Global & Economic Advisory Services LLP and Mr. Hardik Shah, Director, Deloitte India. Mr. Shah joined online.

Keynote Address on India Australia Free Trade Agreement, Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement with Australia (IndAus ECTA), was deliberated by Mr. Suhail Nathani, Managing Partner, Economic Laws Practice & Indian representative to the WTO trade appellate body.

Prof. Biswajit Nag, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, who joined online deliberated on India UAE Free Trade Agreement, Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with UAE.

The deliberations after each session were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The Workshop was attended by close to 40 delegates.
