11th Edition of BCC&I Technology Quiz - An Inter College Quiz Fest in Association with JIS University, 26th March 2022, JIS University, Agarpara.
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with JIS University, organized the 11th edition of its annual signature Technology Quiz−an Inter College Quiz Fest on 26th March 2022 at JIS University, Agarpara.
We had registration of 300 students in 150 teams from all across Eastern India and beyond. The Quizzers were Technology students in their Bachelors and/or Masters.
The Chamber had successfully organized Tech Quiz in the past years from 2009 to 2021 and has embarked on this initiative to reenergize youths about Quizzing. Like the previous years, this edition of the tech quiz was a successful affair as well.
The Quiz Masters Mr. Auritro Chowdhury and Mr. Kingshuk Biswas made the Quiz an exciting affair.
The Inaugural Session was graced by Mr. R N Lahiri, Former Chairperson, IT Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Director, Techno International Batanagar; Ms. Angana Guha Roy Chowdhury, Director and Head− Operations, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other dignitaries from JIS − Prof. (Dr.) Santanu Kumar Sen, Principal, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology and Mr. Jayanta Ghosh, Director, Hospitality and Hotel Administration, JIS University.
The Teams, who made the cut for the finals were consisting of Jadavpur University and Chennai Mathematical Institute; Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra; NIT Jamshedpur; Techno Main, Salt Lake; University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata; Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and team combining of NIT Durgapur and Guru Nanak Institute of Technology.
The BCC&I−JIS University Technology Quiz 2022 was won by the team consisting of Jadavpur University and Chennai Mathematical Institute, while the position of first runners up was held by Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and a team from NIT, Jamshedpur stood as second runners up.
The Winners, First Runners Up and the Second Runners Up were awarded with a prize money of ₹30,000, ₹20,000 and ₹10,000 respectively.
Apart from the quizzing, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, Joint Secretary, IT & E Department, Government of West Bengal engaged with the students on Cyber Security Awareness.

The Preliminary and the Final rounds were simultaneously streamed in social media− Facebook and YouTube which had wide coverage and engagements.
