Online Workshop on Cyber Security - Vulnerability Management and Social Engineering, 25th February, 4th, 11th & 16th March 2022, Virtual.


The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an online workshop on “Cyber Security”, focusing on  

  • Vulnerability Management and
  • Social Engineering 

The Workshop was intended for cyber security and IT professionals, who are responsible for defending against ransomware attacks, delivering highly effective and impactful Vulnerability Management programmes and for business or corporate professionals who are interested in developing cyber security awareness skills.

The workshop addressed latest security vulnerabilities, threats, compliance, privacy and audit issues topics of grave concern to the global community.

Vulnerability Management:

Vulnerability Management was conducted, in association with Tenable, the worldrenowned Cyber Exposure Company. It was 6.45 hours online training (3 weeks, 2.15 hours each week), held on 25th February 2022; 4th March 2022 and 11th March 2022. Module I was addressed by Mr. Sudeep Das, PreSales Manager, Tenable India & SAARC; module II was addressed by Lt Col. Snehamoy Banerjee (Retd), Director and Founder of BinSec Technologies and Retired Indian Army officer specializing in Information Warfare and Cyber Warfare and Mr. Debraj Chakraborty, Territory Account Manager OT Business, Tenable India. Module III was addressed by two overseas Speakers Mr. Ollie Kwan, Vice PresidentSales, Asia Pacific and Japan from Singapore and Mr. Kenneth Teo, Senior Security Engineer, Tenable Active Directory from Malaysia. Mr. Shanker Sareen, Head Marketing, India & SAARC, Tenable organized Quiz at KAHOOT, to make the sessions more interactive.

Social Engineering:

It was 2 hours online training, conducted by Mr. Scott E. Augenbaum, Cybercrime Prevention Trainer, Author and Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent for Cyber Crime Fraud Division, USA, on 16th March 2022.

The workshop had 20 participants including CIOs, Directors, IT Professionals and others from corporates like Bengal Gas Company Limited; CESC Limited; Exide Industries Limited; CDAC Kolkata; Indorama India Private Limited; PricewaterhouseCoopers Service Delivery Center (Kolkata) Private Limited; TM International Logistics Limited; Wizertech Informatics Pvt Ltd; Zensar Technologies and others.

For Vulnerability Management, joint Certificate was provided to the participants by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tenable and for Social Engineering, certificate was provided to the participants by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

Mr. N K Ghosal, Director, NKG & Associates; Mentor, WEBEL BCC&I Tech Incubation Center and Member, IT Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry designed the workshop, in discussion with IT Committee Leadership of The Bengal Chamber.
