2nd Edition of Annual Heritage Quiz 2022, 18th April 2022, Virtual.


The Heritage Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) had organized the Second edition of Annual Heritage Quiz 2022 on the occasion of World Heritage Day on Monday, 18th April 2022 on Virtual Platform win association with INTACH.

The objective of this initiative was to understand and gain knowledge about the Heritage of not only our Country as well as World Heritage which would nurture one’s mind and also to promote interest and desire among students to learn and appreciate the history, tourism and sharing the vast cultural heritage of our country and World. In this edition, the target participants were high school students from Classes 8 to 12, to catch them young and to teach the value of heritage to high school students. Heritage is something that all human beings share; wherever they come from there is a culture that follows from that place. By inculcating an awareness of cultural heritage, the students were able to understand the significance of tourism, conservation and also the economic development at large.

The quiz had around 600 plus participating teams from pan India and Middle East, out of which 40 semi finalist teams and finally 6 teams had been selected for the grand Finale by our Quiz Master Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya, Founder and Partner, Cradle Solutions Pvt. Ltd, one of the leading Quiz Masters of the Indian SubContinent. The programme had Dr. Soumitra Dutta, Senior Consultant Paediatrics, Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre as Special Guest, along with the other Guests Ms. Reshmi Chatterjee, Cochairperson, Heritage Committee, The Bengal Chamber and Entrepreneur Curator, Halo Heritage; Prof. Manish Chakraborti, Professor & Head, School of Architecture & Planning, Sister Nivedita University; Mr. Tanmoy Banerjee, Member, Heritage Committee, The Bengal Chamber and Director, RT Network Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Rith Basu, Head BDCR, Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital Ltd., who addressed some special questions to the participants.

The winners of the competition were Divyanshu Chamoli & Samyak Jain from Delhi Public School Greater Noida, first runner’s up were Soumaho Mitra & Arijit Chatterjee from Don Bosco School, Bandel, second runner’sup were Shubham Sharma & Shaurya Aggarwal from Delhi Public School, Rohini and third runner’sup were Devansh Singh & Sarthak Misra from Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools, Lucknow.

The online quiz contest helped the Students to learn about the Legacy as well as Heritage of India and World, to get exposed towards many new things which are unique in nature for gaining knowledge and provide real time benefit to the future generation.
