The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized “Shakti Contest” on the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya, the beginning of Durga puja scheduled on 25^th September 2022.  In the famous mythological tale of Devi Durga, ‘Bramha, Vishnu and Mahesh’ created Goddess Durga to triumph over demon Mahishasur whom no man or male God can kill or perish. It took a woman of many talents and powers to succeed over evil. This story from our own mythology has great significance because it is very relevant to our society till today, women are made of infinite strength, provided her right kind of development, she can conquer the world. In today’s world as knowledge is the prime power of a person, so women from all across India have appreciated and took this challenge to explore their knowledge of current affairs and intellect though a game of Contest through an online platform. We have received great response from Women across the country to celebrate women empowerment in a new way. The final awards will be declared on 10^th October 2022.
