E-Workshop on Sustainability Reporting, 18th February 2022, Virtual.
The Bengal Chamber Commerce and Industry organized e− Workshop on Sustainability Reporting partnering with PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited (PwC India).
The workshop is a sequel to the earlier initiative on e-Seminar on Environment Social Governance on 21st July 2021 and was also reported in COP26 at Glasgow during the Chamber’s Session.

Mr. B L Chandak, Executive Director, Investor Relations, RPSG Group set out the Theme Address on Fundamentals of GRI Standards Guidelines and GRI’s reporting framework.
CA Heman Sabharwal and Ms. Shweta Mathur were the key speakers of the workshop.
The workshop focused on:
- Fundamentals of ESG and related Reporting
- Understanding the requirements of the GRI Standards (including Stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment)
- Structure/Content and Process of Sustainability Reporting
- Linking the sustainability report to Indian Reporting requirements i.e. Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR)
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry believes in bringing real value to the Members and Stakeholders. The Chamber’s focus on environment, sustainability and related matters is also significant.
Around 45 nominated participants from multinational corporations, academic institutions and other large industries across sectors like utilities, steel, manufacturing, chemicals and fertilizers have attended the session.
The session was well appreciated by the participants and there were many queries addressed by the speakers.
